and for the medical scientists

for engineers working in the area of medical instruments …

Saint Camillus of Lellis is officially a patron saint of hospitals. He founded a religious congregation for the care of the sick and he also worked as what would be today a hospital director/administrator.

Interesting, St. Gemma Galgani is a patron saint of hospital pharmacists, since her father was a pharmacist. I did not know this about her.
