Canonization miracle categories

When a Saint is canonized in the Catholic Church these days, it is normative that two miracles be attributed to the intercession of the proposed Saint.

This thread is to explore the various categories that these miracles can take. It seems to me that the only miracles that are considered or confirmed are medical miracles. Are there other types of miracles (such as bringing peace to a despairing soul)?

Not quite what I’m asking. I know the process (but thanks for linking to the nitty gritty details). I’m inquiring on what type of miracles can and are evaluated and used in the beatification and canonization process. To me it seems like only medical miracles are considered to the exclusion of other types of miracles.

Medical miracles get a lot of attention but there have been others. One involved a sinking submarine where the Captain tried to open a door. Even though he was working against tons of water pressure, he prayed to a candidate for sainthood for intercession, saw a bright light and opened the door, saving some trapped men. After the investigation, it was determined that what he did was impossible.
