I am really struggling with going to church right now. I have not been to Mass in weeks. But I can’t breathe with the face diaper mandates and its still required. In addition I think they are de-humanizing, actually hurt your health by restricting breathing and overall just makes everybody more cold and distant to each other. Wearing it in church feels like you are bringing in the devil. I think you can make a case for the face coverings as being satanic in many ways. The idea they keep people “safe” from the big bad virus is a complete fallacy. They are there to control the population, to keep people scared and make us comply to whatever.

So my spiritual life is hurting right now. Very badly. But right now I insist to not going until they are gone. What do you think of this situation. I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place in this regard.

Believing in conspiracy theories can be bad for your health.

There are different types of masks out there, some are more breathable than others. A bandanna is more breathable than a mask, and meets the criteria for a face covering.

At this point, most dioceses that I know of don’t have a Mass obligation, so you’re not required to go. If you want to go anyway then you need to offer up to the Lord the discomfort of a face covering. Like I said, bandanna will work.

If you decide that you absolutely can’t stand to cover your face, then you have to offer up to the Lord the pain you are suffering in your spiritual life instead.

I don’t like covering my face at Mass either, it makes it harder for me to breathe as well. I’ve developed my own way of coping with it, including the type of mask I wear and where I sit in church to get circulating air. I’ll be glad when the mask mandates go away but overall I’m better off going to church because I was miserable when I couldn’t.

Actual medical personnel disagree.
Wearing it in church feels like you are bringing in the devil.
I’m sorry, but that’s just completely over the top. Protecting yourself and others is “bringing in the devil?”

You really should find some sensible reading material.

I think you’ve brought it on yourself. You’re not a victim here.

Not only that, but the world is not going to change its view on masks at this point. It matters not whether they’re a fallacy or not. If you want to go into church then the churches require you to wear them; if you don’t then the state could close the church entirely.

Thanks be to God, that he has blessed you with this little thing. You can offer up this bit of suffering, wearing a mask in Mass, & unite it with our Lord’s suffering.

Many souls will be spared because of the sacrifice you willingly endured.

Our God is a merciful God indeed.

I’ve seen priests telling people to put on a mask or leave the church.

If you don’t get a priest telling you, you’re likely to get other parishioners telling you.

The only guy I’ve seen in church with no mask was on some kind of portable breathing machine, like a CPAP but he was awake obviously.

And I’ve seen a priest…a good priest, say that while it is encouraged, it is a personal decision. Depends on your parish and diocese.

Today was the first day I was back at Mass. We are still dispensed with the obligation of attending but I missed it. I too hate wearing a mask but I did. It was uncomfortable and I had to take it down from my nose just to breathe. However, I plan to continue going from now on unless something changes.

Maybe your mask is too thick. Maybe you are wearing it too tight. It’s not that big of a deal.

The bottom line is that if you miss mass as much as you say, you would just wear a mask. It is less painful than dying on a cross was for Jesus.

And I guess you must be staying at home all the time too rather than wearing a mask like everyone else does.

The virus itself is satanic with all of the crowns that exist on it. Pretending to be king of the world. The masks is in response to the virus. So yes IT IS the work of the devil.
Then I guess you can’t go to Mass. I’m not sure what the point of this thread is. You clearly have a bizarre fixation on face masks as Satanic or whatever. It’s completely irrational and loony, but it’s clear that no one is going to talk you out of it, so…guess you’re out of luck.
