I have a problem of always asking never ending questions inside my head and its like it never stops, everyday i wonder all these random questions either trying to destroy my faith or just questions that have obvious answers and it honestly just stresses me out, please pray that i would just not even pay attention to it anymore. I think its the devil trying to destroy my faith.

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom in your time of need.

I will remember your intentions in my prayers today.

Your problem sounds like OCD. People tend to associate that problem with compulsively repetitive actions, but it doesn’t always manifest in that way. It can take the form of obsessive thoughts as well. You may want to look into seeing a counselor if this problem persists. Again, you have my prayers.

Well thank you, at least someone understands me, well other than god, everyone else just gets annoyed by my constant questions, but thank you for your care about me, it means alot.(:

**Our Lady of Mental Peace Prayer
**
Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility and
Mother of Hope,
look upon me in this time
of disquiet.

Still my restless spirit,
teach my searching heart to know
that God’s love for me
is unchanging and that the suffering
which He may will for me now
is to draw me closer to Him.

Let thy gentle peace and His —
which the world cannot give —
be always with me, that I may
be sanctified: and then:
I beseech thee
for the grace to bring this
peace to others.

Jesus, My Savior, I give myself
entirely to Thee through Mary:

Our Lady of Mental Peace,
pray for me!

:crossrc:

I’m praying for you, too!
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.

already been to one, doesn’t help…
Although not to that degree… I have questions always buzzing in my head too… while at university, these would often keep me awake, hard to think in multivariate-calculus when you have not been able to sleep.

Where I’m going with this is to seek a different counselor! Counselors are not a one size fit all. When I was an active counselor, I would often ask the person that I was working with to see one of the other counselors because I just couldn’t reach them.

You may also need medical assistance… this isn’t a bad thing! Counseling is one thing - it can help you build cooping tools; however, there can be real medical issues… take ADHD, my nephew suffers horribly from this condition; however, with both medical and counseling support he’s learned how to handle this condition and medical intervention may prove helpful in your case too.

in any-case, my prayers for you…

Prayer for Obedience

Jesus, Almighty King of kings, You Who obeyed Your Father to the end, Teach me the meaning of obedience. My soul burns to comply to Your Will, Striving to charm Your Divinity. While my worldly nature seeks one way, My spiritual nature seeks another. Bless me with the strength to obey, That my soul may subdue both natures, Blending them as a fair aromatic bloom. I always seek favor in Your eyes, To always obey You until my last breath!

St. Michael the archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against
the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we
humbly pray, and do thou O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the
Power of God, cast into hell satan and all the evil spirits who prowl
throughout the world, seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen

God, my Father,
may I love You in all things and above all things.
May I reach the joy which You have prepared
for me in Heaven. Nothing is good that is
against Your Will, and all that is good comes
from Your Hand. Place in my heart a desire to
please You and fill my mind with thoughts of
Your Love, so that I may grow in Your Wisdom
and enjoy Your Peace. Through Christ Our Lord.
Amen.

You sound like my sister. She asks and asks questions all day long. It gets to the point that I have to leave for a while to get some silence. She does this in her head too, and worries constantly. My sister told me she knows she is obsessive compulsive.

Have you thought of praying silently during the day? By filling your thoughts with a repetitive prayer you might break the cycle of question asking. Also, simply doing something that requires a lot of your attention to detail might help. Try to take up knitting or cross stitch. This way your mind is focused on specific directions and activity that could break your chain of thought.

And remember that worry is something we can do too much of, as a result of not really trusting God. We don’t have to have all the answers to everything. We can’t fix everything or predict outcomes. So the more we focus on the current moment the better off we are. Pray more and trust more and you could break this cycle for yourself. It just takes time.

Been where you are. So not talking from the lack of experience.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.
