1. On the method of the Instrumentum Laboris (IL)

Nobody would question the goodwill of all those involved in the preparation and implementation of the synod for the Church in the Amazon, nor their intention of doing everything possible to promote the Catholic Faith among the inhabitants of this vast region and its fascinating landscape.

There’s a lot of criticism of the IL but strikingly, no suggestions to contribute to resolutions of the unique problems of the Amazonian people. If as Crd M says, he has spent 15 years in South America and has insight, if that was true of me, I would try and contribute to the solutions instead of just trying to tear down those are making proposals.

If he did try then it obviously didn’t resolve anything for the Amazon so why not get behind Pope Francis?
