Found a WONDERFUL statue of Mary (for cheap but antique, love it) and inside was mouse poo  Are there any tips on cleaning them? I still have no idea how that happened!

I’m probably the only one with mouse poo in a statue…argh .

Thanks!

Kat

the same way you would clean anything else, taking care not to damage the finish.

Thanks! I just wonder if anyone else had weird stuff get inside their statue. Antique stores are amazing but weird with stuff like that lol.

I would check out the good housekeeping website, martha stewart and canadian living magazine. Between these three places, you are sure to find some answers.

I have a 5yo and a 2.5yo…I’m “used to” finding bizarre things in strange places… 😃

Thanks for all the help! 🙂 Yep it’s ceramic, I am going to fiddle with it today.

I wasn’t sure if you meant was it okay to wash it because it was a religious statue or if you had general cleaning questions.

Clean it just as you would any other similar item. Even if it were a blessed item you would still clean it the same way as anything else you wanted to display in your home.

Thanks! I think I had a mixture of both questions lol 😃 Thanks again!

First you must know more about the beliefs of the mice. Once you ascertain that, you can proceed to the next step.
