I’d like to remind everyone here at CAF that the 1991 Constitutions Carmels permit 3 month live-ins, whereas the 1990 Constitutions Carmels do not.
Cloister Outreach is finding that many converts have an intense, terrific desire to be Carmelites once they enter the church. The live-ins would help one differentiate between an ATTRACTION to Carmel and a true CALL to Carmel.
The RCIA seems to be lacking where the “mystagogy”–the spiritual journey–is concerned. We recommend the book, “An Easy Way to Become a Saint” by Fr. O’Sullivan, OP. It is based on the Little Way.
HTH.
Blessings,
Cloisters
