I’ve always thought the catacombs intriguing. Any stories to tell? Impressions? Are all the bones gone? Etc. Etc.

OK, I know at least one person on CAF has seen the catacombs.

☠️☠️☠️

Don’t be bashful.

I’ve not been to any catacombs, to the best of my knowledge. Travel takes this thing called money.

Well, do any of you CAF’ers even want to see the catacombs? Or am I the only one?

I had a good catacomb with the long haired kitty I had. Worked quite well keeping her fur nice.

Seriously, I would actually love to see the catacombs. Lots of interesting history. If I did, I’d probably combine it with other things to see in the area, not the least being the Vatican.

Blessings,
Stephie

They say that one can even get lost down there. That is what I would like to do. I suppose it would be a sin against prudence however. 🤔 👻

Somewhere along the way of life, I developed a good sense of where I’m at with respect to another place. That only happened within the last 8 or so years. So I wouldn’t worry too much about getting lost.

Does that mean you’re gonna pay me expenses to go with you to keep you from getting lost?

When are we going?

By the way, from that other thread, where’s my coffee?

Blessings, my friend.

No. No. The point is to get lost. To that end, you would be no help at all. No coffee for you unless you can navigate from one end of the 12 miles of tunnels to the other side…with no safety lights turned on…just to keep you honest…ok, you may have two torches and a large bottle of water and one loaf of bread- that’s it.

I want to see them; there is just SO MUCH to see in Rome that I’m not sure, even if I made it back, that they would make the cut.

Such a pity. Everyone knows that in the early church people were dying to get in. 👨‍💼

It was pretty bad, I know. But I couldn’t resist. ☠️ ☠️ ☠️

I guess not a single soul on CAF has ever been to the catacombs. Surely this cannot be. I always thought they were a very cool aspect of the early church and something to certainly check out while in Rome. Maybe I just like tunnels and caves more than the average bear.

Looks like my neighborhood watch… Seriously have enough catacombs being “dug” up in Philly, don’t have to travel.God Bless:🦋🦋🦋

I was blessed to travel to Rome once, but alas I was not able to see the catacombs. I definitely would have liked to do that.
