Does anyone know of how to go about getting a Catechical dipoloma?

CDU has been around forever.Temujon,
Do you have any experience with CDU? I’m looking at it for a Bachelor’s completion program. A friend of mine was concerned about whether it would really be a degree that would be widely recognized.
I did a course with CDU many, many years ago. It was good, challenging and affordable. I wanted to get their MA Degree but the tuition is now off the charts, at least for me. Being retired and on fixed income, I simply cannot afford any of their courses now, not even the Catechetical Diploma. My VA benefits ran out before I could use them and I cannot find any type of financial assistance as a VET of over thirty years nor as a Senior citizen. It is very discouraging.CDU has been around forever.
Can you give a link to what this diploma actually is (as listed in a Vatican site if possible) I have searched and can only find link to two schools that say they offer it. I have never heard of it and I am involved in catechesis on the diocesan level and in formation of catechists.First of all, you must understand what a “Catechetical Diploma” is: It is Vatican-authorized teaching certification, not merely diocesan, so, if this is what you want, be sure the institute you choose specifically states that their program is authorized by the Congregation for the Clergy.
While the Franciscan University of Steubenville is turning out some of the best and most solidly trained catechists in the Church today, I’ve always been mystified as to why they don’t offer the Vatican-authorized Catechetical Diploma (or, if they do, they certainly don’t advertise it). The founding director of their Catechetics department has one, as does at least one of the department’s other instructors. (I know; I earned mine at the same catechetical institute they did!)
It says on there to get an MA in Theology, you have to be on campus for atleast 2 of the classes… That kinda stinks for me since I live in GEORGIA!! lol. I’m going to be a teacher… but really want to get my MA in Theology. Hopefully I will find a school closer to me that offers one, or maybe they can change the rules for me! haha. just kidding. But how AMAZING would it be to have Scott Hahn as your prof?? AMAZING. to say the leastI just discovered that Franciscan University at Steubenville has a distance learning program (the courses come to your home) and it is about half the cost of CDU. They have Masters programs too. I have linked their site here for you. God bless you.

I’m sorry this response is late; I’ve only returned to this topic today, and found your question. Can you give a link to what this diploma actually is (as listed in a Vatican site if possible) I have searched and can only find link to two schools that say they offer it.
