Catechism's Footnotes

Could please answer what the DV in the footnotes of **Catechism of the Catholic Church **put out by Liquori Publications on pp. 19-33 mean? I have looked in the Index of Citations and have found *Lumen gentium and Dei Verbum *and that does make total sense.http://forums.catholic-questions.org/images/icons/icon5.gif

It means Dei Verbum.

What passage of the Catechism are you referring to? Can you give a quote or paragraph number?

Those are both Vatican II Documents.

Dei Verbum is The Dogmatic Constitution on Divine Revelation.

Lumen Gentium is The Dogmatic Constitution on the Church.

Thanks! My son’s is study revelation is his Theology class, and I hit the Catechism to answer his questions. I know how his mind works, and he will have to go deeper. I have to be ready for his
