so, yesterday i was having a university entrance exam online. i was planning not to cheat the test. while doing the test, i feel scared of not passing it since I have paid for it and my family economic is in crisis. so i cheated. infact i study so hard, even harder than my usual exam. yet i cheated out of fear. I feel so bad afterward up until now. What have i done is wrong. at the same time i also want to pass because i pay for it and it is only my chance to get scholarship. What should i do? I feel like I disapoint God so much.

Go to confession. Repent.

Then, speak to your priest about the way to overcome this anxiety and fear of what others think.

As a parent, I would rather my child be honest and never go to college than cheat their way through life. You CAN break this habit.

What were the rules that you did not obey? I assume this was a test you did from home?

Go to confession.

And admit your indiscretion to the test site…your cheating may have cost another student from a family of equal financial hardship a position…then learn from your error and leave the rest to God.

Well that’s a start, its a sign of repent, you can go to confession now but remember not to do it ever again, its not worth it, its better for you to fail it, but at least you was honest, i am TERRIBLE at math and i study very hard, yet i fail at some tests, but i tell God that i did my best and that is what matters,

Did the exam online state in the instructions that no material could be used during the exam?

When I completed part of my college degree online, all of the tests were “open book” but each question had a short time limit, so you had to be familiar with the material or you would fail anyway even with google or your book.

If you did read the instructions and deliberately did not follow them, go to confession and remember this feeling of guilt if you ever find yourself wanting to cheat again in the future.
