How does catholic philosophy regarding the existence of God and the systems used relate to more contemporary ones, mainly the ones most commonly used by theist philsophers? Is Peter Kreeft thomist? Also, what are the most common systems among catholic philosophers today? Are there any systems that embraces rationalism but has a strict view that faith in God must be based on reason?

Is Peter Kreeft thomist?
This one I can answer. Peter Kreeft has been described by his publisher as a popular Thomist teacher and writer. In the introduction to his summary of Aquinas’ Summa Theologica, Summa of the Summa, he writes, “St. Thomas Aquinas is certainly one of the greatest philosophers who ever lived (to my mind, he is the greatest), for at least eight reasons: truth, common sense, practicality, clarity, profundity, orthodoxy, medievalism, and modernity.” From what I’ve read, Kreeft is of the mind that the teaching of Aquinas is timeless, as relevant now as it was when he was alive.
