Back in 2013, Catholic Answers contributor Robert Spencer was barred from speaking on diocesan property owned by the Diocese of Sacramento. Mr. Spencer was not happy about the decision. Have any CAF members had problems with the decision made back in 2013? For the record, my local parish is located in the Diocese of Sacramento. Not too long ago, one of my parish priests spoke out against Islam in a homily.

Pick at old scabs much?

This happened half a decade ago. Let it go.

Um, is Robert Spencer really all that different from Walid Phares, who has appeared on EWTN’s The World Over with Raymond Arroyo numerous times?

There are all sorts of reasons a bishop might not want a speaker, or a topic, on Church property. In San Diego, Catholics Answers is an approved apostolate and faithful to the bishop.

CAIR is allowed to speak on Catholic property in San Diego - the Bishop (McElroy) hosts masses where openly gay couples french kiss during the “kiss of peace” under his tutelage prior to receiving the Eucharist in the Novus Ordo.
