Actually the bible that I use from the site sacredbible.org/
is really translated by this guy named Ron, it isn’t approved by the holy see, but I liked it a lot.

It says a new translation of the Latin Vulgate, using the Douay Rheims as a guide. He named it Catholic Public Domain Version.

I found it when I was looking for a free catholic bible in pdf form to download. And is really satisfied. I read the psalms every day, as a breviary.

That depends on each person though.

I personally recommend the Douay Rheims bible (drbo.org/). It is with excellent commentaries. Read it every day. It will help your faith.

Dont forget the Revised Standard Version-Catholic Edition. The language is dignified, but less "archaic" than the Douay Rheims. Plus: it hasnt been corrupted by feminist “inclusive” language.

Be careful with the last site (and maybe others) linked to. Anything associated with the SSPX should be approached with caution. The whole site smells SSPX.
The Maria Valtorta ad shouldn`t be there, either.
 
I like the douay rheims bible in the last site. Douay Rheims is an approved catholic bible. Just don’t bother with the maria valorta. I don’t like it either. The webmaster of the site was just trying to put up Douay Rheims bible online, because he saw that the hard copy were almost unavailable. Maybe he don’t do much discretion of putting up his ads.

But the rest of the site is good. It has even catechism on catholic bible:thumbsup:
