Catholic Bible in chron/hist order?

I found a website which places the books in both chronological and historical order.

(both will bring you to “today” but start on jan 1)

I haven’t looked through for those “missing books” but I have a sneaking suspicion that they are not included. Does anyone know where those they might fit into these two lists?

Also, does anyone know of any good books that discuss background historical info? Stuff makes so much more sense when you know the context (go figure).

I’m aware of the debate over what the actual order should be, and usually I am very strict in reading things cover to cover. I mean, books were put in a certain order for a reason! I think trying one of these ways might keep the variety up, plus if i get bored it won’t be too long before switching to another section.

Any help will be appreciated 🙂
 
I just checked to make sure all the chapters were listed - I found a few mistakes.

Mistakes in that long list from the other poster here: only in the psalms. numbers 35, 50, 53, 60, 75, and 137 I did not see. I placed them with whatever group of psalms had the numbers closest to those (35 with 36, 50 and 53 with 55, 60 with 61, 75 with 72, and 137 with 134). Personally, I’m not sure how anyone could break that many down and decide that what order 150 of them go in, so take those with a grain of salt.

Now that I went through all that effort… this might be a little too broken up for my taste :rolleyes:, go figure…
 
That website is a fundamentalist Protestant site (apparently non-denominational).

Also, I don’t see the usefulness in reading in a supposedly chronological order.
