A small group of women at our parish are just about to complete “Our Father’s Plan”, a Catholic Bible Study based on the EWTN film series with Scott Hahn and Jeff Cavins. We have learned a lot and want to continue our study of God’s word. We are wondering if anyone out there has some suggestions for other good Catholic Bible Study programs that can be used in a small group format.

Thanks and God Bless

I know of tons:

Emmaus Road books features Bible studies for women’s groups:

The Ignatius Study Bibles, by Scott Hahn and Curtis Mitch, with questions for study at the back of each book (currently the four Gospels, Acts, and Romans:

Catholic Exchange has very in depth studies by Scott Hahn and Jeff Cavins, currently Romans and Genesis, with Exodus coming this fall. Others available:

Scott Hahn also features Bible studies at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels on his web page:
salvationhistory.com/

A NAB without the footnotes but with lots and lots of practical Bible studies and study helps:

Steve Ray’s monumental Catholic Bible study of John’s Gospel:

Consider watching as a group one of Steve Ray’s Footprints of God videos, currently Jesus, Mary, Peter, and Moses. They are extremely well done and come with great study notes:

Beginning Aplogetics with Study Guide/questions available:

Sheet from Coming Home Network that leads you through the Bible AND Catechism in a year:

That should get you started! God bless you for spreading God’s Word 🙂

At my church the “Little Rock” bible studies are used. I’ve been to a few, and absolutely do NOTlike them. The “Renewed Life” catalog has a few that I think would be interesting. But I haven’t tried any of those yet.

To Fidelis:

Thanks for all the websites. Wow! Can’t wait to check them all out.
