These are not blasphemies. I do not even know that they are sins in the context give. But they definitely are not blasphemies in any sense of the word.
Now, the question is then, how different, ethically, are the lies given by the main Character in Golden Compass to that of Frodo in LotR

Didn’t our esteemed U. S. Bishops all take Philosophy before they were ordained? How about Debate? May we please have a definition of the word, “premise”? Yes. Please read the definition of the word premise from the American Heritage Dictionary: “1, a. A proposition upon which an argument is based or from which a conclusion is drawn.”

Dear United States Bishops,

When you issued your approval had you actually considered the premise upon which The Golden Compass and it’s associated books with their subsequent films are based? If not, may we and our impressionable children, along with the unchurched, please have a revised review from you that actually takes into consideration the PREMISE of The Golden Comass, et al?

Thank you.

“As for me and my house, we will serve The Lord.”-Old Testament
“Our God is not a God of confusion, but of power, and of love, and of a strong mind.”-New Testament paraphrase.
