I’m looking for catholic boks on CD. I have at least a 30 minute ride into and home from work. I’ve given up on listening to talk radio. I want to deepen my understanding of the Catholic Church. Any suggestions?

David, Great way to spend your dirive time! Go to Amazon and type in ‘Scott Hahn audio books’ in the search engine. All his books are on CD. There are probably recommendations listed by other Catholic authors, too. I would also recommend going to the Catholicity website and ordering their free CD’s. catholicity.com/maryfoundation/ Happy listening!

I have Karl Keating’s CATHOLICISM AND FUNDAMENTALISM on casette which makes great listening in the car. They may have on CD now…

For the do it yourselfer, you might go to the Catholic Answers website (radio archives) or EWTN’s website, (librarys/audio) and search for your program of interest. Download these programs to your computer. If you have the right software, you can convert these .ra files to MP3, then copy to CD. This isn’t too bad and you can get free stuff to listen to this way. I like to listen to Father Corapi, he sells some cd’s, but he is a regular on EWTN also. I also subscribe to Sirius radio and find it to be worth the $10.00 a month fee (though it cost a couple hundred to get started). When you figure that the average cd series is about $30.00, it doesn’t take too long to pay for it.
