Hello, Can anyone tell me why there are no good Catholic books in the Library. I was looking for some that were referenced in the Missal for Lent. A couple of them had copyright dates from the late 1990’s. This isn’t the first time I have not found books referenced from Catholic that are not in a public library. Would not these be a really great resource to get the word out? Obviously, they are good reading otherwise they would not be reference in your Catholic Missal February/March to Easter.

Depends on where you live in the US. I live in GA, and I have the same problem. I have been up North, and they have selections.

If you really want these book, try a local Catholic store or amazon.com

Hope this helps!

Thank You Kristanl. I was trying the library since as of now I have no income. I have purchased two books; however, I have to watch my spending. Once I have income again, I will check with the Catholic book store here. I also think having some of these good books in the public library is a great resource to reach more people. A lot of people cannot afford to purchase books, or they see if as nonsense spending, since they have other pressing issues that need financial attention. Plus that is what a public library is for, to encourage reading, I believe. I’ve notice the public library has a good selection of true crime books, books on serial killers etc ; which I have no interest in reading. Books regarding God are more beneficial and inspirational!
