Catholic captioning on TV/Movies?

Would it be useful to have catholic captioning available on TV/Movies telling you what the church position is on things being displayed?

This would be pointing out sinful behavior in sitcoms, many of which are filled with sinful behavior, identification of falsehoods in things like the Da Vinci Code, etc.
 
If done, it needs to be done in strict accord with Catholic Teachings from the Catechism.

To explain it well it would take hours to watch a half-hour show.
 
Exactly. And when I’m watching Doug and Carrie on King of Queens or Judy and Bill from Still Standing, being petty and one upping each for selfish gains…I want to laugh and not be preached at how a husband and wofe should and shouldnt behave.
 
HECK NO!

Talk about overstepping. For crying out loud, can’t people do their own thinking? I do not want ANY entity trespassing it’s moral assessment into my home on my TV screen on my choice of entertainment.

How about this, let’s turn this over to Islam. Let’s let them run Islamic moral commentary across our TV screens.

Unfortunatley that’s the way it goes. You can not live each person’s life for them. You can not live in everyone’s house. You can not parent everyon else’s children.

And, if anyone can be described as “catholic”, so what. Not every human being is going to be or even wants to be or is even called to be “Catholic” with a capital “C”.

Who is going to do the “Captioning,” the Holy Father or Howard Stern? I can’t help if there are parents who are not up in their faith. All I can do is pray for them. I have no right nether does big brother to tell them how to raise their kids. Nobody has the right to go in my home and tell what I can or can’t hear.

In my home I have this hi-tech device. It’s called the remote control and I control it. Just kidding had to put this in. I had this debate at work the other day and I said that. Haha. :rotfl:

You know there are people on the left, left and the right, left coasts that think we people in fly over country are a bunch of dummies. We are not enlightened.

Despite the fact that these same people are turning back the clock and living lifestyles as the pagan Romans did over 2000 years ago. 😦
