Wait…as far as I know “Peace be with you” or the Arabic equivalent “Asalaam aleikum” (used in the Eastern Churches) has been taken from us Christians! Why is it that when Moselms answer the telephone and greet each other, they wish peace, but Christians (who used the blessing first!) only say it when they have to in church?! Shouldn’t we be conferring that blessing on every person we speak to? As Christians, aren’t we a beacon of peace for the world?
