How wonderful for them! If they are Catholic, it must be a wonderful way to live, to be physically surrounded every day by something you are so connected to by faith. It appears that the people that bought the church are respectful of its past. Surely the Church does something to it’s buildings before selling them off. Sometimes there are legal agreements for what the purpose of the building can be used for.

There was another post sometime ago that linked to a story about a church that had been made into apartments. It was so nicely done, I would love to live there.

In the town where I live many Catholic Churches have been sold when the diocese combines parishes or builds bigger churches. Some are sold to other churches, one was turned into a coffee shop and yes one is a house. I think it’s kinda cool. But if it were happening because churches were closing I’d think differently.
