I am a former protestant, and while a protestant my wife and I sponsored a child in a third world country with a monthly payment that went to a education and a uniform to an under-priviliedged child. In return she sent me translated letters, of which we could respond and could watch her grow into a young adult. In the process of sponsoring her we both converted to the Church, and shared that with her, as she was no doubt picked from a catholic parish and brought into a protestant church school that was educating her. We were asked not to share our “denominational” requests or delve too deep into our faith, but I did it anyway. We feel the need to sponsor a child again. With compassion for about 30 bucks a month we were able to provide her with the above, we got a picture and a small profile of her, which grew as she grew. Is there a program like this sponsored by the church?![Confused  ](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f615.png)
