Hi all,

My SIL is a lifelong Nazarene (Evangelical). She isn’t a reader, but would be open to something on CD. In your opinion, what are the top two or three Catholic CDs out there that will help her with conversion? I’m hoping to find something that will help her see the beauty and truth in the Catholic Church.

Thanks!

P.S. Please pray a short prayer for her conversion!

You should try The Conversion of Scott Hahn and John Corapi’s Amazing Story. Dr. Hahn and Fr. Corapi are both dynamic, high profile Catholics with great conversion stories. Best of all, you can get both of these CDs for free at catholicity.com.

I recommend you listen to them yourself first before passing them on. We can make recommendations, but you know your SIL better than any of us, so you can gauge what she’d be open to hearing.

Ditto Joe’s suggestion for “The Conversion of Scott Hahn” CD.

Also, you might explore the website for St. Joseph’s Communications: www.saintjoe.com,
and then at the left, check out either the $3.00 CDs; or just click on CDs, then especially under Apologetics, and read the description of the titles. These are more costly, but I have bought three CD apologetics sets, one from Dr. Hahn and one from Michael Barber and I forget the other one, but they are all very good.

Also, Dr. Edward (Ted) Sri has an excellent 5 audio CD set called “Common Questions Biblical Answers: How to Explain and Defend the Faith,” available here: womenofgrace.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=193

You would enjoy these as well as your s-i-l!!

Scott Hahn’s conversion story audio program is one of the best I’ve ever heard. You also might try Tim Staples “Jimmy Swaggart Made Me Catholic.” Also excellent.

One of those $3 St. Joseph Communications CDs that I just listened to and think would be excellent for your SIL is Finding the Fullness of Faith, by Stephen Ray.

Please go to “The Catholic Society Of Evangelists” at www.catholic-soe.org.

You will find CD’s there for the low cost of $1.00. Including Scott Hahn’s Conversion Story, “How a Protestant Minister Becomes Catholic”. Also Fr. John A. Corapi has his story there too.

This website is full of information that I’m sure you won’t be dissapointed in. So far it’s the Cheapest Catholic Website I’ve found for good information. (cost of 50 cents to only 1 dollar.) I really enjoy a lot of their books and booklets, and of course the CD’s. I can get tons of information, (to keep and give away) without breaking the bank account. You can also join and get a packet of information for 10.00 (very much worth it.) Of course you don’t have to join to pick and choose any of the information to order.

The books and booklets are Easy to Understand. It’s all written so even a teen could understand it.

I hope this helps.

My wife has recently converted and been through the RCIA course. I found that once the course was over, the spark died somewhat. I joined Lighthouse Catholic Media’s CD of the month club and for $3 a month we received an exciting talk by one of the great Catholic speakers of our time including Scott Hahn, Archbishop Fulton Sheen, Fr. John Coropi, and many more. The covered many topics but always brought (name removed by moderator)iration and knowledge to us. Keep the spark growing and our love of Jesus strong.

Visit www.lighthousecatholicmedia.com and enter promo code 1874 in the CD of the Month Section. You won’t regret doing so. There is no obligation and you can cancel anytime. I upgraded to 10 of the same cds every month so I could give them out to family and friends.

God Bless,
Michael
