I have been working on putting together a study on End Times through teachings that are very Catholic based. It is rich in the Fathers of the Church, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and other very solid Catholic sources such as from solid theologians like Dr. Scott Hahn. I have also quoted from Carl Olsen’s book ‘Will Catholics Be Left Behind.’ In fact I have alot in common with Carl because I used to be a hard core Fundamentalist Dispensationalist, but my heart is totally sold out to the Catholic Church.
I do see the need to help my brothers and sisters get a good understanding of end times from a Catholic view, so I am putting together a work that hits the main points of prophecy in the Scriptures, and I am giving commentary to them from the Fathers of the Church and other sources that I have mentioned.
So far I have completed part 1, it is an entire section on the “Church Age,” and I have cited a great number of passages of Scripture and given solid interpretation. For example, I have taken on passages such as Daniel 9:24-27 ‘the 70 weeks of Daniel,’ and Revelation 20:1-10 such as the 1000 year reign of Christ and Satan bound in the abyss. I have also tackled the issue about Israel and the Church.
I am starting on part 2 which will be about the Great Tribulation and the Antichrist, and part 3 will be about Judgment Day and the 2nd resurrection and the new heavens and new earth.
But I am finished with part 1, and if anyone wants it I will happily email it to you at your request. I have worked hard on this and I believe it will help anyone who wants to understand end times from a Catholic perspective.
