Does anyone invest in an index mutual fund that reflects Catholic Values (e.g. no abortion/contraception/euthanasia/fetal stem cell research/pornography/etc.)? We were not happy to discover that our Vanguard index funds include some of these. Having said that, and considering we are willing to change, we have had considerable difficulty finding index funds (at a reasonable expense fee) that replace stock index funds in our portfolio…and conform to (orthodox) Catholic Values. Honestly, I am less concerned about ‘gender equality’ and ‘environmental change’ and/or illegal immigration/joblessness which are apparently promoted by the USCCB as values to be promoted when investing? If someone has some ideas as to how to appropriately(orthodox Catholic Values) invest in the market, using stock index funds (at a reasonable expense ratio), we would really appreciate the advice!

I’ve just heard their name on EWTN. I’d recommend calling them and voicing your concerns - they advertise themselves as pro-life and all, so I’d imagine they’d be quick to clear up any misconception concerning their dedication to that.

This is how they score:

AVE MARIA BOND FUNDAVEFXMORAL-CATHOLIC

35.5%

[AVE MARIA GROWTH FUNDAVEGXMORAL-CATHOLIC]

[AVE MARIA RISING DIVIDEND FUNDAVEDXMORAL-CATHOLIC]

[AVE MARIA VALUE FUNDAVEMXMORAL-CATHOLIC]

Do you invest in Ave Maria Mutual Funds? Or other Catholic Values mutual funds that you can personally recommend? I guess that is what we’re looking for? TIA!

I’m a high schooler haha. I’ve just heard EWTN mention their name.

It is amazing to us that there are so few truly “Catholic” index funds (reasonably priced) available out there… it is also amazing that so few people are concerned about investing in companies that are actively investing in Planned Parenthood/abortion/contraception/fetal stem cell research/etc. Why are there no publicly available Catholic fund screeners for compliance with Catholic doctrine? If someone knows of a site that reliably does this… we would appreciate the heads up!

Another Christian moral screener https://beta.inspireinsight.com
scores LMT at 14% violation(s) and FSDAX at 14% violation(s). I wish I could find a reliable, vetted Catholic moral screener that I could trust… given all the scandals lately, I am not even confident in the USCCB’s published investment guidelines (although the caring for the environment is important, it is not on the same moral level as abortion…etc.)
