In the late 1970’s-early 2000’s there were a variety of companies producing Catholic tape, CD, and VHS sets. While some of these bought into the “spirit of Vatican II” mentality, the majority had great priests and other speakers teaching authentically in an engaging way.
The problem is, many of these companies went out of business over time or, for those that still remain, may not have the desire to re-release the older tape sets in a newer format.
Does anyone know of an effort being made to find, digitize, and preserve these classic Catholic works?
I actually did set up a basic blog page for a “Catholic Media Archive” project but, didn’t want to push too hard on it if something already exists.
For my part, I’d want to get permission from the original rights’ holders and provide the content without charge to everyone but, again, don’t want to re-invent the wheel if it already exists.
