Catholic Media Bias

Actually most Catholic media seems to be a shill for the political right.
 
The right wing media businesses are not trying to take over. They are trying to give a voice to those who aren’t liberals and didn’t have a voice for a long time.
 
I no longer like any of these publications, left or right. When I converted I was all about consuming all the Catholic media I could and now I feel it’s pointless unless it is focused on faith sharing. All the “news” is mostly bad journalism and heavily biased on either side. Following this type of media has made me too anxious about what is going on in the Catholic world. It is addictive, though. I’m trying to wean myself away, even from this site. The more I focus on my own prayer life, doing charity and being an active member of my parish, without all of the side bars about Church politics, the better off I am. The thing is most people just talk and talk about “the issues” but do very little to create real change. Talk is just gossip.

Many people choose to listen only to those who focus on the positive. They believe that, with very few exceptions, McCarrick probably being the one, all other clergy who are in good standing are free from criticism. To do or say otherwise is to be disobedient and sow division.

I want and need to hear about the corruption and the scandal within the Church. That’s why I listen to CM, and 1P5 and the remnant and others who share the view that corrupt clergy need to be brought out into the light. Not left to cower and hide in the shadows to carry out their deceit.
