Who are some of you favorite Catholic media personalities? I like Dr. David Anders, Frs Mitch Pacwa and Larry Richards.

I like @PatrickMadrid and Joe Sikorra. I see Patrick posted on the forum, but haven’t seen Joe post yet, unless he’s incognito.

Blessings,
Stephie

Bishop Barron and Fr Mike from Ascension Press.
Also Fr Larry Richards

Fr Larry makes me uncomfortable. I think he has been reading my mail most days. That “Good Morning!” Isn’t so much a greeting as it is a warning shot.

HAHAHAAHA

I like when he said during a talk that St Joseph was the first person to receive the Body and Blood of Jesus in the hand…at Christ’s birth.
Was a sweet image.

Matthew Kelly is one of my favorites.
Raymond Arroyo is another.

Cardinal Pell atm!

and of course holy father Pope Francis

I like Kelly too. Arroyo not so much. I almost always listen to Catholic radio, it’s nice to have a couple different stations. When Gus Lloyd comes on I can switch to EWTN.

Fr. John Riccardo always has good and relevant talks.

I often end up listening to part of Ray Guarendi’s show “The Doctor Is In” because here it’s on during the noon hour. He can be kind of crazy but he often ends up speaking the truth ahout society and people.

I think the parishes have been fairly saturated with Matthew Kelly. He’s good for many people who really need to beef up their thinking and not be complacent. But I’m not a fan. It’s just ok. Our parish is not buying his books this year, and I am so glad. When you give out his book every single year people just stop reading them, I don’t care how cheap they are.
We’re giving the one about Forgiveness this year, sorry I forget the author’s name.

It is a Dynamic Catholic book. Our parish gave it out at Easter. Everybody Needs to
Forgive Somebody by Allen R. Hunt.

I really came to appreciate Matthew Kelly when our women’s group did his series called Decision Point which is a DVD series and a book written for young adults preparing for Confirmation. He loves sharing and teaching the Catholic faith.
I have read several books from Dynamic Catholic and many by Kelly and they are all very good. They are not deep theological books that require heavy concentration to understand.

Jonette Benchovic. Met her at World Meeting of Families.

I think there are times, depending on the topic, a book deep in theology might attract some Catholic readers, on the other hand, it might turn off the average parishioner.
I think Matthew Kelly is interested in reaching as many people as possible to share the Catholic faith with - Catholics and
non-Catholics, and prefers to keep it simple, and not too complicated.
I used to be somewhat critical of his books, but I know there are many other books out there to choose from if I am in the mood
for a deeper theological book.
I am already wondering what book our parish will be handing out at the beginning of Advent or Christmas. I can’t remember when they pass them out.

I probably spelled the name wrong. She’s on EWTN. She’s probably written a book.

Her talks are pretty heartfelt. In the Symbolon series she speaks of the night a state trooper came to her door to tell her that her son had been killed in an accident and how she turned to our Blessed Mother for strength.

Patrick Coffin
Dr Ray
Fr Ricardo
