Hello. Young Catholic Male here, in my early twenties. I’m wondering if there’s any other Catholic fellow Mgtow of this forum. If you’re one and reading this, please let me know. I would like to connect. Thanks, God Bless

Hello. First off. Mgtow is a philosophy, not a movement. Second, Mgtow is absolutely NOT opposed to Church Majesterium, that is utterly false because Mgtow’s 2 Tenants are inherently innocent and hold no destructive motives towards Catholicism. Quite the contrary. Thirdly, my entire creation of this topic was to connect with my fellow Mgtow of a similar mindset and background. So respectfully, I’d appreciate it if only people who I addressed this towards actually respond to the actual topic of this post instead of people who didn’t learn about the philosophy in an ignorant, confirmation biased manner. Thanks. God bless

Hi, thanks for recognizing the actual point of my post. Lots of mgtows collectively cuss. Beyond that is simply philosophical discussion about Human nature (particularly female nature) and about inner validation aka not relying on others to validate your manhood or existence. It’s saved me from a dark path. Mgtow was a Godsend for me. I’m a stronger Catholic because of it. It’s simply a guide for men to happiness. Believe me when I say Mgtow has saved many thousands of broken men from suicide because they had given on the world. I’m not one of those men but I have seen it. Mgtow makes sense to me. I’m happy living the chaste and single life and vocation. I’m simply reaching out to others of the similar lifestyle. Thanks anyways.

Living a chaste and single life is compatible with Church teachings. Viewing women as enemies is not, nor is abandonment of the pursuit of marriage if it is a man’s vocation.

There have been others here who have advocated for this sort of “philosophy” — all those with whom I’m familiar were booted because of uncharitable comments they made.

Welp my comments have been quite respectful. If someone is offended what i just said that is most unfortunate, especially since there is nothing wrong or incorrect with what I’ve stated. That is not my responsibility… feeling insulted is an inside job. I have not stated anything insulting and this whole forum has been extremely respectful and well mannered. Though, I notice the lot of you seem to hold… frustration, let’s call it, at the mere whisper of this kind of discussion being had. Not to mention there seems an IMMENSE amount of myths and false accusations made about Mgtow. This is at its core most disturbing for anyone from a fundamental Human standpoint. Especially since this post was not directed towards any of you.

MGTOW is regarded by some as a hate group. At the very least, even if it’s not a hate group, it’s a divisive group. I would say the same about some group that was advocating for women to not get married and to live a life excluding men.
As gracepoole said, the MGTOW philosophy does not fit well within Catholic teaching.

I flagged this thread several days ago as posts here are not supposed to be “divisive” per the forum rules. Apparently the moderators’ decision was to let the thread stay in place, but I’m not surprised that others now seem to be flagging it also.

The FAQ for the website is vulgar and uncharitable. Based on that alone, it seems like something a Catholic shouldn’t be associated with.

What is your stance on hiring women?
A penny saved is a woman fired.

Can you be married and a MGHOW?
No

They also brag about disrupting and stopping weddings.

Is this really the kind of movement you think a Catholic should be a part of?

Where is the highest concentration of MGTOW on the map?

Their response is a scene from Star Wars with text using a derogatory term for women.

The FAQ for the website
there is no “website” just not like there is no “website” for Catholicism.

Is it Catholic to misrepresent that a philosophy is represented by a website when its not?

No website? Then someone has gone to the trouble of making one for them. Mgtow.com

For those who do not know “mgtow” is a movement that is contrary to the teachings of Holy Mother Church in regard to love and the dignity of persons.
One of their biggest concerns is NO Fault Divorce, where anyone can divorce for any reason, so I’d say much of their Philosophy is very aligned with Catholicism. Do people here support No Fault Divorce?

Again, for the fourth time, I wasn’t addressing anyone here. Anyone attempting debate is not relating in any way to this post. Instead there’s an overwhelming response based on what appears to be biased confirmation. Deeply disturbing. Especially since some of my statements (which have purely respectful) for whatever unprovoked reason are being shadowed. I’m in disbelief.

My concern is female nature I’m very afraid of it. Namely Briffault’s Laws and Hypergamy or the like.
