Hey everyone!
I’ve been browsing the web, looking at websites, and calling lots of different organizations in search of a mission medicine trip that will take place this summer somewhere overseas in a 3rd world/struggling country. Most Catholic mission trips are only for 1-2 weeks, however, and i’m ready to commit at least 1-2 months somewhere. I’m having no luck. I’m also not a medical doctor, but rather a pre-medical student and I would be a college graduate-ready-to-start-medical-school-in-September. Does anyone know of any organization/group that would fit these parameters? I would take any mission trip at this point in time, even if it’s not distinctly a medical mission trip.
I’m also a little reluctant to go on a trip with a Protestant organization just because I’m not sure what their idea of missionary work is andddd, I have a feeling my Catholic views don’t exactly coincide with theirs and that could just get messy.
If you can help me out, that would be tres appreciated!! =)
