Not that I was a regular there for the last 10 years or so, but it is sad to see the end coming for Catholic Convert site, Defenders of the Catholic Faith or more recently Ave Maria forum. It must have come into being around the turn of the 21st century as it seemed to be buzzing away when I first joined around 2005. Stephen Ray was it’s original creator. He sold it off and it became Ave Maria a few years ago but has been slowing down ever since.
It closes it’s doors on May 31st.
Catholics on the net seem to prefer Facebook and Twitter for discussion now. I’m on Twitter but find it full of too many ugly characters and arrogant males and lots of hating on Pope Francis.
