I read the following article today regarding a breakaway “parish” in Indianapolis. Apparently, when they were shut down in 1994 (due to low membership and large debt), several of them continued to worship in an adjacent Episcopalian church.

They have three priests who currently preside at their “masses” - one is gay, and the other two are married.

Two new members of this group are former Catholic News Service reporters. They had this to say in the article:

The nice part of the story is about the people who had the courage to lose the building but save their souls
For a long time, I have noticed an apparent bias in CNS news articles. It almosts seems as if they are quasi-officially sympathetic to dessenting causes. It sometimes feels as if the people reporting for CNS also work for NCReporter.

Am I wrong in my assumptions, or does anyone else agree with me?

P.S. - I also noticed that one of the priests who “ministers” to this groups is a member of Voice of the Faithful. This doesn’t surprise me, either.

Catholic News Service, is the news “arm” of the NCCB. Please note the *Copyright:

Depending on your view of that august body, that will tell you a great deal ----if you read the story they are running today on Cardinal Ratzinger’ s letter - I’d say a certain “bias” shows but then that’s just my opinion.
