Catholic periodicals and newspapers

Can anyone recommend any good Catholic newspapers or magazines? Is the National Catholic Register any good? Thanks

National Catholic Register is good – I’ve been subscribing to it for several years now. “Crisis” is another good one. Magazines that are more apologetics-oriented that are good are “This Rock” “Envoy” and “Catholic Answer”

I get three, I like them all. They are

Inside the Vatican (excellent Vatican coverage, had the Deus Claritas Est, Pope’s intro to his new book, etc. News, interviews, and theology)

This Rock (you know)

A friend of mine let me borrow some monthly issues of the magazine “Liguorian” - it is good.

A friend of mine let me borrow some monthly issues of the magazine “Liguorian” - it is good.

I like the Liguorian. It is good. I liked it better when it was in a “readers digest” format because it could be carried around easily. It has a good variety of articles.

But I also get This Rock, Catholic World Report, First Things, and Crisis. I like Our Sunday Visitor and usually pick it up at church. Faith and Family is another good one.
