I live in Albany, it’s in NY state and there is a radio station called “Family Radio.” I used to believe what they taught but not no more. However, it was a fantastic station for those who believed it’s teachings. There are many beautiful hyms, old-fashionded too and not simple boring new age hyms today with the same melody over and over again. There’s so many Bible readings, sermons, moral talks, creation talks, open forums, etc. So my question is are there any Catholic radio stations like this? 24 hours listener supportive? Oh that would be awesome!

If the radio station has what you said it does, I don’t see the point why you stop believing it and go search something else that has the same values?

anyway, here are some:

www.ewtn.com

radio stations hosted by other Christian denominations are heavily supported by listeners and by the followers of the various preachers and ministries who use them as a forum.

When Catholics support Catholic radio at the same level, we will have programming at the same level. You know, those same Catholics who support the Church at 10-30% the rate that non-Catholics support their congregations and ministries. Those Catholics. We just had the Catholic Communications Campaign. How many of those complaining have made a contribution to it, to EWTN, to CA or any other Catholic communications ministry?

You betcha!!! There’s a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week, 365 days a year Catholic radio station in Portland, Oregon. Started 15 years ago… and run by listener donations.

And now that it’s streaming live on the Web, everyone – anywhere – who has access to the Internet and a speaker on their computer can listen to it! PLEASE – spread the Word!!

It’s Catholic! It’s radio! It’s Mary’s!

The label is KBVM (K Blessed Virgin Mary) 88.3 FM -
Catholic Broadcasting Northwest

At this radio station, the Catholic Answers radio program with Jerry Usher is broadcast weekdays from 5pm to 6pm Pacific timezone. Many other programs are broadcast every day. At the Web page, you can click to the Program Schedule page that will bring up a PDF file that shows what’s broadcast at each hour, each day of that week.

Unfortunately, there’s so few Catholic radio stations around the country that it’s even more joyous that we all can listen to it anytime – FOR FREE – from our own computer’s speakers – delivered from KBVM radio’s Web site.

Me, again. Of course, I would be remiss if I did not mention how it is that you, the listener, can contribute to the running expenses of this all-Catholic, all the time, radio station so that it can continue to broadcast “the Positive Difference.”

There’s only twice during the year that a Share-a-thon (donation pledge drive) is held for KBVM. At any time during the year, though, you can contribute a one-time only donation… or a “so much per month” donation.

yet, still … it is TOTALLY FREE to listen to on the Web!!

By the way, The Cinnamon Bear is being broadcast again this year from 88.3 FM - (and YOUR very own computer’s speakers when you listen to the radio station online)

KBVM.com during Advent…

The Cinnamon Bear is HERE…
Listen to the Cinnamon Bear every weekday at 7:30 am & 3:30 pm. For more: CINNAMON BEAR

Does this station come in on the radio in Albany NY/Hudson NY areas?

Does this station come in on the radio in Albany NY/Hudson NY areas?
Nope. It comes in on the radio only in the northern Oregon area (from Portland almost down to Eugene, Oregon). The station broadcasts from Portland, Oregon.

By the way, Oregon is the “most unchurched state in the United States.”

However, anybody – anywhere – can listen to it from their own computer. Your computer just needs to have a speaker.

Go to the station’s Web page –

kbvm.com

And click on the words “Listen Now” on the left side of that page.
