I wish I could say my parents and grandparents did/do a lot of spiritual reading, but I can’t.

Wow, sounds like you’re describing my mother, she would tell me about Mother Angelica and the current episode when I went there for a visit. Nor was I interested until much later, now I’m enjoying the reruns. I do recall an animated show called Davey and Goliath that had Christian lessons. There was no escaping Bishop(then) Sheen, if we went to my grandparents, they were watching him, too. Garabandal, St Therese, Cure d’Ars, St Bernadette, Catholic Register, other Catholic magazines. Mom had little Saint’s pictures snugged in the corner of regular pictures, and rosaries everywhere. Always asking if I needed Holy Water. It seems I’ve run out of “love” comments on this Forum. Just had to let you know the similarities.
