I prefer to live near my family. Our son and his family just moved nearby from Seattle, and our other son lives a short distance away. No way are we leaving the area.
We’re also have my father-in-law living with us, though we may move him to an assisted living facility.
I wouldn’t move to a Catholic community unless there is no family to care for you in later years.
