I believe two things are essential to every Catholic school:
- An apologetics oriented-class. Everyone should be able to defend his or her faith from criticism -Christian or non-Christian - and engage in dialogue with others.
- A class on moral conduct/social teaching. Students should have a solid base for right + wrong. What is wrong? What is right? Why is it so? What should I be doing with my life? There should be a class that answers these as best and as honestly as possible. (Within the Catholic worldview, of course)
