Catholic schools

Hi, my sister just moved to Riverside, CA and is considering Catholic school for her 8-year-old. She isn’t a practicing Catholic so wouldn’t know what to look for. Is there some way of finding out if a school is “orthodox” and academically good? I want to help out but I can’t do much from Canada. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Teresa

Any chance that she’ll become a practicing Catholic? I ask because often parishes give scholarships and the like to parishioners, not to mention that she may find other parents within the parish that can suggest good schools within the area.
