Recently, I was debating the Real Presence with a dear Protestant friend of mine (please pray that we agree with one another in the end, and the snares of prejudice, intollerance and ignorance doesn’t confound either one of us.) Anyway, in this discussion I realized that I appealed to Church tradition by quoting many Church Fathers and Martyrs for our faith to show what they believed about the Eucharist and how they applied this to their devotional lives. I also gave an outstanding arguement from the Bible, and it’s amazingly useful to see how apparently Catholic the ancient Church is. Anyone have any useful sources for making a Tradition Timeline for Catholic doctrine? Thank you, and God Bless…
