I often find myself going to Biblegateway when I need to find something in scripture. I then pull out my RSV or NAB hardcopies and go from there. I also purchased an electronic NIV pocket bible for times when I’m nowhere near an internet connection.

The USCCB and Vatican sites have the NAB but they do not offer any features close to what Biblegateway offers. Scott Hahn’s site (Salvation History.com) offers a link to the RSV but again it is lacking in features.

Any ideas? Also, are there any plans in making handheld catholic electronic bibles like the NIV-450? link - franklin.com/estore/dictionary/NIV-450/.

In Christ…

Just for my education, what features do you like for BibleGateway that others do not have?

Your choice of bible version to search. A catholic equivalent would provide advanced keyword and passage search on NAB, RSV-CE, DR, New Jerusalem Bible, Septuagint, etc. Biblegateway offers you the ability to listen to the passages and see related commentary. It would be awesome to tie passages to the Catechism, Church Fathers, encyclicals, etc.

I hope this answers your question.

Hi!

I found this post–particularly post #5–to be very helpful. Of course, this is based on the assumption that you have or will have access to a PDA… Once I saw this thread about a month ago, my Palm has been completely rededicated! Bibles, writings of the Fathers, council documents, prayers… :dancing: <–Very happy me!!!

Anyway, hope this helps.
