SU just asked me (since I’m hogging the phone line right now) to query whether there are any Catholic websites that deal with the book of the Apocalypse/Revelation. Anyone know of any?

I wish. 🙂

The only Catholic studies I know of specifically on that book of the Bible are either in books (Navarre Bible Commentary) or on tape with a study guide (Scott Hahn’s “The End” found at www.saintjoe.com)), or the one available from Catholic Scripture Study/Catholic Exchange found at css.catholicexchange.com/

There are a couple of articles available from Catholic Answers that may be helpful:

Apocalypse

The Apocalyptic Mass
catholic.com/thisrock/2000/0009bite.asp

The Time Is Near
catholic.com/thisrock/2002/0209fea5.asp

The Beast in Revelation
catholic.com/thisrock/1998/9812chap.asp

The Woman of Revelation 12
catholic.com/thisrock/1997/9705chap.asp

If “SU” is tempted to fall into the errors of the “Left Behind” variety, visit here:
carl-olson.com/rapture_articles.html

That should get you started. 🙂

The 1859 Haydock Catholic Commentary on the Book of Revelation can be found at the Douay-Rheims Online Bible . On the left-side menu, select the New Testament/Final Book/Revelations/etc. When the Bible verses are displayed in the main window, you access the verse commentary by clicking on the blue-highlighted verse numbers. The verse commentary should appear in the lower window.
