Catholic wedding but orthodox tradition

I and my Macedonian Orthodox bf of 2 years are know talking about marriage and he agreed if we got married it would be in a Catholic ceremony since I am devoted to my faith. I asked my priest and the Catholic priest in Macedonia if it will valid marriage so all good on that but I just wanted to know, though he is not a religious Orthodox member, he asked me if we could have an orthodox tradition in the Catholic ceremony like the crowning and circling the altar part. the crowning and circling seem like for me such a beautiful part of a wedding ceremony but do we firstly need an orthodox priest there to perform it and will it be ok in the Roman Catholic church.

The Catholic minister is to use the marriage rite of his Catholic sui iuris church. If you are eastern Catholic then it would be done that way but not for Latin Catholic. However, if you received a dispensation from your Bishop to celebrate the marriage in the Macedonian Orthodox Church it would use the eastern rite of marriage.

Its possible that the Macedonian Orthodox Church won’t recognize the marriage if your fiance marries outside of his Church. If that’s the case, and its important to him, it should be relatively simple for you to obtain permission to marry in an Orthodox ceremony.
