I’m writing about a Catholic wedding for a novel. On what day(s) are they usually held? What Bible verses are read, and (where) can I get a transcript of the actual enactment of the sacrament?

Honestly, yeah Google it. Couples usually choose the readings (it’s not a fixed reading). If you Google catholic wedding mass readings, you’ll see a bunch of different verses and you can pick the ones you want that would reflect the characters well. Same with the transcript of the mass

The book below is a great planning tool for a wedding and can help you with your questions. Regarding day of week, it can be any day of the week, but most people choose Saturday for obvious reasons.

It doesn’t have to be a particular day, I imagine logistic wise a Sunday morning or Saturday night would clash with a scheduled mass though.

It highly depends on the Parish, too. For instance, our parish gave us a book that went over the Mass. We were allowed to select the readings from the ones listed which were most of the ones found online.
Vows were also included as well as the other Mass proceedings.
It was only $3 or 4 dollars so it might be worth investigating. 1ke listed a version.
You may also want to search for the wedding website of an actual parish–the parish my husband and I were married at also strictly dictated the songs that could be played.

In our parish of about 1500 in a financially blessed suburb, weddings are typically celebrated on Saturdays at 11am or 1 pm. Confession starts at 2:30pm, so the wedding needs to be over and out by then. Mass starts at 4pm on Saturday evening.
That said, we recently had a wedding celebrated on Friday at 4pm. They were finished by 5:15pm, and cleared out of the church by 5:45 (after taking photos and talking out on the front steps).
The verses read and music played are chosen from a preselected group of appropriate readings and music. In our parish, the music director handles this.

For someone who is purportedly a novelist writing about a Catholic wedding, he/she does not seem familiar with google or youtube, both of which would provide an incredible amount of information. First steps of basic research in any type of writing.
