I am part of a group in college that is non-denominational. I am a Roman Catholic and am part of the group because I am looking for good moral friends to hang out with and also cause the Newman group doesn’t fit my schedule. After being in this group for a couple months I have been feeling moved to witness to those who have become good friends of mine. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can go about this? I don’t wish to offend but some of these guys love Christ so much and I know that once they discovered the truth they would LOVE the personal relationship with their Lord and Savior in the Eucharist 😃 any suggestions?

Hmm, I graduated from college a few years ago, and was in a situation VERY similar to yours. It’s not always an easy one!

I’d say for starters, don’t be pushy. Let people know your Catholic in a natural way, in casual conversation, and trust me, the questions will start coming! But I would say let THEM ask.

Also, I became a Bible study leader in my group. I never tried to give them a “Catholic” lesson, but just prayed, read Scripture with them, and developed friendships. They all knew I was Catholic, and that I attended Mass. That was enough for them to realize, “Hey, Catholics really are Christians!” Some even asked to attend a Mass with me.

Also, find some way to keep growing in your Catholic faith through reading and at least a few Catholic friends.

God bless! The Holy Spirit will do the real work!
