I don’t know if I’m asking this question at the right place, since I’m new here. I wish to ask about sexuality. I’m male and I have some close female friends. Whenever I’m around some of them, I get some sexual feelings, sometimes, I just begin to envisage the possibility of having them as my wife, some other times, I just stay and stare at their shape. I just feel this is a natural feeling and it isn’t a sin, but whenever the thought comes to my mind, my heart begins to convict me. I start feeling as if I’m sinning. Please what’s the take of the church on this?

How old are you? you don’t have to give an age if you don’t want to. Are you an adult or in your teens?

Your attraction of a sexual nature to women is completely natural. However; Christ did tell us that whoever looks at a woman lustfully commits adultery with her in his heart. Appreciate a woman’s beauty but also respect the individual and don’t dwell on sexual thoughts about them. As soon as you begin to dwell on sexual thoughts you open the door to the sin of Lust which is a very difficult sin to overcome.

As long as you don’t dwell on and nurture these thoughts then it is natural.

You cannot keep the birds from flying overhead.

You can keep them from making a nest in your hair.
