Hello, I have recently made a forum, freeboards.net/?mforum=CatholicJW

Its a forum for Catholics and Jehovah’s Witnesses.
I have jehovah’s Witnesses and ex-jehovah’s witnesses but only two Catholics, myself and one other.

I was wondering if any Catholics (people from different churches are welcomed) would like to come on my forum! 🙂

There is a jw on at the moment who is wondering about the Trinity, I can’t help him much because I don’t know much about it myself, but he is asking for help on the topic.

I would be willing to join your forum on the JWs. At present, I am working on a book ‘A Catholic response to the Jehovah’s Witnesses’, and am at present working on the chapter on the Trinity. You might like to visit the website : www.bible.ca/trinity, which has an excellent, almost line by line rebuttal of the JW’s pamphlet ‘Should you believe the Trinity?’. From just one or two comments (e.g Athanasian Creed non-inspired document) I gather it could be an evangelical website, but it is nevertheless excellent and orthodox on the Trinity.

Hi JennMM and welcome - that bible.ca site has some interesting stuff on it. But, I followed through some of the links and, for one thing, he says that all of Ignatius of Antioch’s letters (ca. 110) are forgeries! Why…? *Too Catholic! *(It’s under the “100 A.D.” link). In a way, it’s a tacit admission that Ignatius’ letters were, in fact, “Catholic”! I think the author of the site belongs to the “Church of Christ”.

lol bible.ca is one of the most anti-Catholic sites on the entire Internet.

They also happen to have plenty of anti-JW and LDS and SDA stuff too, most of which is pretty good.

Hello! I checked and yes you have an account on my forum! 🙂
So Go onto the forum again and write your name JCrichton and password, it may take a few attempts to log in! yes I know the blank page happens quite alot, you would just need to close the page and re-enter the forum again.

I can’t fix this problem up sorry.

I think you misunderstood Lazer’s post. He was speaking of the site to which Jen posted a link, not to Evanescence’s site.

I just signed up at your forum. The discussions look interesting, but, to be honest, the color scheme is causing eyestrain. My poor tired eyes don’t handle purple text on a brown background very well. I’ll try to pop in now and again, though.
 
lol! sorry that was an accident! my forum was prieviously white and blue, i tried changing my colour scheme and I totally stuffed it up lol! Purple was originally ok untill the colour sheme changed so now I have to write in red or a different colour, I might be able to change it again one day onece I figure out how to lol.

I like your forum a lot, there are many interesting things but I’ve been trying to access it since last night and I couldn’t get through… Am I the only one having trouble? :confused:

I have an account on your forum, but I can’t access it either. I log in and it says it is connecting me but when the page opens, I’m down as a guest…maybe you could start a new forum and we can all join that one, cos it seems to be experiencing a lot of problems…just a thought! 😉
 
Hello Furlan, yes Freeboards was down for a while, but its working now 🙂

Catholic Diva, It would be a bit hard to do that cause I’d have to notify everyone, and I think eversince its freeboards i’m using stuff like this happens. I don’t have money to go and pay for a nice forum like this one.

So I guess we would just have to bare with it, maybe something can be done about it in future, i’m trying to get some help on the problems.

Yes I am familiar with that problem, I think everyone gets it, it just takes a couple of attemps.

Or you might have to close the page and re-enter the site.

LOL. I was hoping it was something like that! Anyway, I just checked back, and what you have now is much easier on the eyes. I’ll be checking back from time to time to see if there is anything I might be able to contribute to.
