I’m a socially conservative, fiscally liberal Christian Democrat. My politics are more in line with Catholic Social Teaching: pro-life, pro-family, and pro-worker.

When you guys say “socially conservative” and “fiscally liberal”, what do you mean by that?

As a wall-to-wall political conservative, I feel I am being pushed away from the church. 😦
I’m like you wall to wall political conservative and I don’t feel like I’m being pushed away from the church. Why do you???

Birth to 44 yrs, Liberal.
44 to 56 yrs, Conservative.
Last two years- just Catholic. 😃
Pax Christi!

Your story seems similar to mine, although I doubt that I was born a liberal.

GENERALLY,the Catholic Church is liberal when it comes to issues of the environment, social justice, peace/war, and the death penalty; it is GENERALLY conservative when it comes to medicine, sexuality, beginning and end of life issues, and the Designated Hitter rule.

Okay, I just threw that in.

I’m Catholic, and not impressed with either Joe Biden or Pat Buchanan (spelling?).

God bless.
