I think your (name removed by moderator)ut is right on . I agree with your thoughts on the priest shaking hands at the end, although I liked how it’s the teacher from the previous clip he is shaking hands with - kind of ties it together. And, the video is so good even it’s ‘weak’ point is good.I think the Epic ad is stunning. It draws you in, the music is perfect.
To make it better. Well, it is so good it should be made generic. Not only for Catholics who have fallen away but for those searching. As such I’d change the ending. The priest shaking hands with a parishonner. Probably the only weak point in the ad.
To re-inforce the Biblical nature of the church - where it refers to Peter as the first Pope, I’d add the Scriptuaral reference.
Also, where it says cities are named after Saints, I’d cut back the long shot of the St. Louis arch (many don’t know it) and add a shot of the Golden Gate brige too.
My critque of a great ad. Meant in the most constructive of senses. Cause the ad is awesome. I’d love to see the reaction if it were aired during American Idol or Dancing With The Stars or CSI in just one of the 4 big markets. LA, NY, Bay Area or Chicago.
The last clip of the monstrance being raised is magnificent!
The music is great, the man’s voice who is narrating is perfect.
