I think the Epic ad is stunning. It draws you in, the music is perfect.

To make it better. Well, it is so good it should be made generic. Not only for Catholics who have fallen away but for those searching. As such I’d change the ending. The priest shaking hands with a parishonner. Probably the only weak point in the ad.

To re-inforce the Biblical nature of the church - where it refers to Peter as the first Pope, I’d add the Scriptuaral reference.

Also, where it says cities are named after Saints, I’d cut back the long shot of the St. Louis arch (many don’t know it) and add a shot of the Golden Gate brige too.

My critque of a great ad. Meant in the most constructive of senses. Cause the ad is awesome. I’d love to see the reaction if it were aired during American Idol or Dancing With The Stars or CSI in just one of the 4 big markets. LA, NY, Bay Area or Chicago.
I think your (name removed by moderator)ut is right on . I agree with your thoughts on the priest shaking hands at the end, although I liked how it’s the teacher from the previous clip he is shaking hands with - kind of ties it together. And, the video is so good even it’s ‘weak’ point is good.

The last clip of the monstrance being raised is magnificent!

The music is great, the man’s voice who is narrating is perfect.

I love this site, the videos are great. I heard the founder of this group interviewed and he said that they are trying to raise enough money to air these videos on prime time television, especially during Advent and Lent.

I have recently refered someone to that site among others, and I pray that she will come back. She said she knows she will someday, I hope it is not too far away!

I encourage everyone to refer to this site to as many people as possible! 👍

I still say Bumper Stickers or Window stickers for cars. “Living Catholic” or something. 👍

I remember first seeing the Catholics Come Home spots during the Papal Visit coverage on EWTN back in April. They were mainly the spots where they had the fallen-away Catholics talking about how they came back to the Catholic Faith after falling away.

The Sacramento Diocese, Sacramento CA. will be airing the Catholics Come Home commercials Feb 25, 2009.
