Not true at all. The fact is that chapters and verse numberings were introduced in the 12th century.Specious to list them so. Chapter and Verse in the Bible did not come until the 17th Century, which ,eams that in the original they are not listed so.
It doesn’t matter anyway since nowhere in the whole Word of God does it say that there are ten commandments and the Jews certainly don’t recognize them as numbering that many, I know for a fact.
Christian tradition is the only one that says there are ten and there are in fact several different versions of the ten in question.

I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before me. It would be totally different if there was a full stop at the end of this :
‘You shall not make for yourself graven images, …’
Fortunately for us there is a comma there instead, meaning that that idea is connected to a thought further on in the sentence.
‘…you shall not bow down to them or serve them.’
And repeated and clarified further in the next sentence:
‘You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.’
Otherwise everyone goes to hell? - oh … except a for few stone age pagan guys in Borneo or somewhere who don’t make or see images . Full stop.
